24 PKU Mathematicians Won the Alibaba Global Mathematics Competition Award

On the afternoon of March 29, the award ceremony for the first Alibaba Global Mathematics Competition was held in Hangzhou. Twenty-four mathematicians from Peking University received the awards, including eleven students and thirteen alumni at home and abroad of the School of Mathematical Sciences.


The Alibaba Global Mathematics Competition ran for six months. Fifty-one mathematicians won the awards, and nearly half of them were from Peking University. Zhang Yue, 2014 undergraduate, and Wei Dongyi, 2010 undergraduate, were respectively awarded the Gold Scholarship in Geometry and Topology Group and Analysis and Differential Equation Group.
