Analysis and PDE Seminar——Stabilization of water tank

Abstract: The water tank is modeled by the Saint-Venant equation with no friction and no slope.  The stabilization problem by internal control corresponds to a water tank subject to an acceleration. We stabilize this system rapidly, i.e. exponentially stable with large decay rate, by a strategy inspired from the backstopping approach and the moment method, which is strongly related to the controllability of the system.
