The focus computing method for seismic inverse problem

Abstract: In the seismic inverse problem, the computation of the entire wave field may be not necessary.

Instead, we need to get the waveform time-series at specific location (seismic station) or the local wave

field around the geometrical ray path. Thus, we propose the focus computing method, whose computational

domain is much smaller than the entire domain. This new technology can reduce the memory space

requirement and the number of floating point operations by several times.
