Abstract: The main goal of this lecture is to discuss the emergence of self-organized structure in turbulent Hamiltonian flows. We shall investigate  some aspects of vortex motion for planar incompressible Euler equations and Shallow water quasi-geostrophic equation. In particular, we shall explore   time periodic solutions in the vortex patch form and deal with simply and doubly connected cases.
